SRIMS & SH facilitates primary and tertiary health care for all kinds of people with a provision for below poverty line (BPL) patients, which is one of the major agendas of the trust.
All the departments like General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, E.N.T., TB & Chest Disease (Pulmonology), GYN & OBS, NICU/PICU, Critical Care Unit, Medical & surgical Oncology, CATH LAB ( Proposed), Dermatology, and Psychiatry have their OPD. Student demonstration rooms are provided adjacent to every OPD for clinical demonstrations to students.
Also have 24X7 facility for Pharmacy, Ambulance Service, Emergency Service, Diagnostic Services – Pathology, Radiology Services.
The Central Lab in the OPD is well equipped with Central Pathology consist of , Biochemistry and Microbiology, Clinical Pathology, Hematology, Cytology, Immuno Chemistry, Molecular Bio- Chemistry ( Proposed) . The department of Radio-diagnosis has 600Ma X-Ray machines with Tilt Table facility along with additional to 300mA, 100 mA – 2 nos, 30mA – 1 nos portable machines with Fluoroscopy Interventional Radio diagnostic Services ,high end ultra sound and colour Doppler are there to cater the services to the patients.

The inpatient wards are spaciously designed with the teaching beds to the students. Clinical Demonstration Rooms, treatment rooms; Duty Doctors and Nurses rooms are provided in each ward. There are 6 centrally air conditioned Operation theaters in the hospital with modern equipment. Out of the 7 OT we have 2 ultramodern modular OT fitted with Lifesaving equipment like ventilators, central oxygen and suction supply, Defibrillators, Infusion and syringe pumps are equipped in every O.T.
The Casualty department with 10 beds provides round the clock emergency services. Equipment like ventilators, defibrillator, pulse oxymeters, cardiac monitors, emergency trolley and crash cart are available to serve the patients. Ancillary services like Blood Bank, C.S.S.D., laundry, Pharmacy store, Mechanized laundry, Postoperative wards and Medical records department are available at SRIMS & SH.
- Diet provided to all indoor patients.
- Visitors are allowed only at notified visiting hours : 4 to 6 PM
- Staff nurses are on duty round the clock in the wards.
- Admitted patients should contact the staff nurse / Floor manager for any medical assistance they need
The casualty department which works round the clock is managed by doctors and nurses who are available in 3 shifts round the Clock.
The casualty section is well facilitated with 10 beds, Central oxygen supply, central suction, defibrillator, pulse oxymeter, ambu bag, disaster trolley, x-ray machine and crash carts. It is connected to an emergency operation theatre which is fully equipped with anaesthesia, resuscitation and surgical equipment.
The radiology department and clinical laboratories are placed close to the casualty section to serve emergency patients round the clock. Documentation of medico legal cases is prepared along with all necessary lab reports and doctor reports. Casualty medical offices and residents available 24 hours 365 days.
The operation theatres are centrally air conditioned which are classified into Minor OT and Major OT. The minor operation theatres are connected to casualty, Surgical OPD, Ophthalmology, OBG OPD, Orthopaedics OPD and ENT. The major operation theatres are connected to General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT and OBG.
Pre anaesthetic / pre-operative rooms with 6 beds and Post-operative recovery rooms with 10 beds are attached to these operation theatres. The operation theatres are facilitated with central oxygen supply, nitrous oxide supply and central suction unit.
All the operations theatres are connected with closed circuit cameras and recording systems, which enables the students to view and learn different live surgeries performed.
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is now an essential area of patient care in tertiary care hospitals.
Critical illness is a condition where life cannot be sustained without invasive therapeutic interventions. Patients with critical illnesses are admitted to the ICU for treatment.
On the ground floor we have 15 beds. Apart from that we have a 8 bedded S ICU and 8 bedded PICU/ NICU. Our ICUs have a good nurse to patient ratio, supported with facilities of continuous multi-parameter invasive monitoring, invasive and noninvasive ventilators, infusion pumps, and Dialysis, with pulse generator ( External Pace Maker), bi-Physic – defibrillator, bi-pap / c-pap ventilator, volumetric infusion pump, monitor with NIBP and IBP, Main Steam EtCO2 monitor. Bedside pacemaker with C-Arm facility.
The central laboratory is fully air conditioned, well-equipped and updated with common collection for all investigations in histopathology, cyto pathology, hematology, immune pathology, microbiology, biochemistry and other specialized sections supervised by their concerned departments.
The laboratory is facilitated with modern equipments and is open 24 hours. Off duty hours are also attended by on duty trained staff.

Large Pharmacy is catering to all IPD and OPD patients. The store is stocked with medicines and being run by trained pharmacists which is located next to the Out Patient Department.
The medical records department is computerized and connected on LAN with OPD counters, IPD counters, Emergency wards, Operation theaters and investigation Labs. This department monitors and records the number of patients every day. Statistical reports and graphs are made to classify and differentiate the number of patients distributed among different departments on daily, monthly & yearly basis. ICD X Classification of diseases is done for indexing.
